The Jamaica Dairy Development Board has forged strong relationships with industry partners throughout the value chain and this allows us to continue to innovate, advance and elevate our services to you.
Through the JDDB’s commitment to effectively regulate, coordinate, promote, and grow Jamaica’s dairy industry, a keen focus has been placed on pasture development to include; planting of specialized seeds enabling forage and silage conservation for sustained feed availability.
The JDDB’s responsibility as regulators is to enable a safe and orderly environment to facilitate trade by creating synergies between processors and farm clusters as a feeder to supply milk for further processing.
Milk is a nutrient-rich liquid food produced by the mammary glands of female mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for young mammals, including breastfed human infants before they are able to digest solid food. Milk from animals including cattle and goats, is used as food by humans.
