Dairy Co-orperatives

The Dairy Co-orperative falls under the remit of the Co-operative and Friendly Societies with an objective to bringing about an improvement in the economic and/or social life of the people who comprise their membership. There are three Dairy Co-orperatives in the island that are located in St Thomas, St Elizabeth and Clarendon; established to lobby on behalf of the farmers in the respective areas. Each farmer is required to join the Co-orperative closest to their location to access benefits to include Technical training and pasture development assistance.
